Beaches

Life at the beach. Imagine beautiful warm sandy beaches, cliffs of red sandstone, beautiful blue skies and little white sheeps on the waves. New Carlisle has almost 10 kms of coast, mostly in the form of pristine beaches. Whether you prefer a nap in the sun, swimming in the water, building sand castles, going for a stroll, gathering treasures of the sea (beach glass, shells, driftwood, agates) or admiring a spectacular sunset, you’ll find a perfect beach for you. Among the most popular beaches in New Carlisle are The Green, The Harbour, The Bible Camp Beach, The Wharf and Christies Rock.

The Green

On The Green one will find a mostly sandy beach with a canteen and picnic area, restrooms and cabins, a playground for children, and a volleyball, basketball and baseball area. Here, pets are allowed with a leash and one can access the boardwalk. The Green is also the home of our permanent gazebo and arbor where various summer activities and festivities are held. Planning a wedding, family reunion, get-together, it’s the perfect setting for it.

The Harbour Beach

At The Harbour one will find the sculpture and the sandiest beach in New Carlisle. There is also a picnic area. This beach is close to the bird sanctuary. It can be accessed at the bottom of Church street.

The Bible Camp Beach, Wharf and Christie Rock Beach

The Bible Camp Beach is a mostly sandy and mostly quiet beach with great views and small waterfalls.

The Wharf Beach and Christies Rock beach is a quiet place where one can take a stroll on the beach or on the tracks and view spectacular sunsets and Christies Rock. The boardwalk does not pass on this beach. These beaches can be accessed by going to the bottom of Oriental street, turning left, continuing passing the train station and turning right on the gravel road.
